Monday Muse: My Dragon

We come world's apart,
I am timid under your eyes,
drawn to me with my art,
I live under heart's disguise,
but you see far beyond,
knowing all my secrets,
for you were spawned,
in my mind's deepness,
I gave you scale and fang,
fire inside your throat,
my imagination sang,
and there was a goat,
you would eat savage,
but as you grew older,
you would not ravage,
your fire on smolder,
I name you dragon,
my forlorn heart,
even though we're lagging,
we'll never be apart.
