Poetry Challenge #5: Acrostic

noun

1.
a series of lines or verses in which the first, last, or other particular letters when taken in order spell out a word, phrase, etc.

Beware the serpent,
real pain it does cause,
of those not penitent,
kindness unknown within its jaws,
even those who are prepared,
nary find their lives were spared.

Hope lies and heals to scar,
ever balm to serpents's bite,
always left with tiny mar,
restored but of lesser light,
that which made love so appealing,
shatter now with depth of feeling.

Man created from earthen dust,
oblique to a natural state,
made to forever be nonplussed,
entropy born to the irate,
never sold on here but after,
tomorrow is just crazy bait,
overconfident is mocking laughter.

Minimize your prospective,
overemphasize now to thrive,
remember your lost objective,
is to live, not just survive.
