Poetry challenge: Limerick

I've decided to challenge myself by trying different styles of poetry. Today, I tackled the limerick. My first one is about fellow writer, Crystal MM Burton and her search for something:

There once was a lass from Texas,
to whom writing should be reflexive,
until Crystal was lost,
Neopets have a cost,

hope the search is not infectious.

Now here is one that is a little less lighthearted:

There was a man named Chester,
a vocally enhanced questor,
his voice a keening,
a plea for meaning,
but he's gone, our hearts left to fester.

I know that the point of a limerick is to be funny... but I thought this was appropriate, considering.
